Global Energy Services Ltd., a provider of production services and communications solutions for the oil and gas industry, has formed an agreement with Canadian carbon offsets provider Offsetters Climate Neutral Society to purchase offsets for 100% of the greenhouse gas emissions associated with Global's oilfield communication product line.
Farhan Farshori, Global Energy's vice president of corporate development, says the decision to offset carbon emissions is part of the company's overall philosophy of diminishing the environmental impact of its products. ‘Global Energy's commitment to offsetting carbon emissions is a milestone for the company,’ Farshori says. ‘We have taken a leadership role in providing our oil and gas clients with carbon offset products.’
