Four Dutch and German offshore wind consultancies have teamed up and established a new international consultancy company, Wind Minds, with a focus on developing offshore wind farms in northwest Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
The four participating companies – Pondera Consult, MECAL Independent eXperts, Ep4 Offshore and BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH – say they employ over 100 specialists combined with over 15 years of experience and were directly involved in over 40 offshore wind projects.
‘With Wind Minds, we have created a one-stop shop for developers, investors, governments and utility companies," says Arno Verbeek of Pondera Consult. "Our focus is to be a proactive partner for our clients, providing them with independent consultancy in all disciplines related to offshore wind power."
The new venture's first targets will be Japan and Korea – countries Wind Minds will visit until Nov. 4 as part of a trade mission by Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp.
