New Hampshire State Sen. Bob Odell joined officials from Iberdrola Renewables, Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH), New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC), Lempster Select Board and other community partners to discuss the progress of the wind farm construction on Lempster Mountain in Sullivan County, N.H. The wind farm is scheduled to be completed and begin delivering electricity before the end of the year.

The 24 MW Lempster Wind Power Project will include 12 Gamesa wind turbines.

PSNH's renewable energy portfolio with new wind power is an exciting development for our customers and all of New Hampshire,’ says Gary Long, PSNH president and chief operating officer. ‘We remain committed to working with the state and with other partners on significant projects like this that help meet our objective of new renewable energy at a fair cost to our customers.’

The power generated from the Lempster Wind Power Project will be purchased by PSNH, which will resell a portion to the NHEC. PSNH and NHEC recently completed building the electrical interconnection circuit necessary for the project.
