Nevada-based utility NV Energy is seeking short-term renewable energy resources that can be delivered on or after Jan. 1, 2011, and for a period of one month up to three years.
NV Energy is open to three different types of short-term renewable energy offerings: renewable energy bundled with all of its respective portfolio energy credits, an exchange of non renewable energy from NV Energy for renewable energy, and biogas that can be transported to NV Energy's power plants for electricity production. NV Energy will accept offers of renewable energy structured as monthly shaping and firming transactions, allowing suppliers greater flexibility in their bid proposals.
Bids are due Dec. 15.
