Nova Scotia Power’s Digby Neck Project Begins Producing Power

Nova Scotia Power's Digby Neck Wind Farm began powering homes and businesses this week, with ten turbines generating electricity. The wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of this year.

When complete, the Digby Neck Wind Farm will have 20 wind turbines with a total capacity of 30 MW, producing enough electricity to power approximately 10,000 homes. The project also includes a substation and a 17 km transmission line.
