Nova Scotia has set a new record for wind generation in the province, according to Nova Scotia Power (NS Power). The utility's power production operators report that wind energy generation reached 250 MW at 12 a.m. on April 24, representing 20% of the province's electricity generation at the time. That surpassed the previous record of 235 MW of generation set at 8 a.m. on April 14, according to NS Power.

‘Recent projects coming online means that wind energy can now power tens of thousands of homes in our province,’ says Mark Sidebottom, general manager of power production at NS Power.
