Nordex USA has received two turbine orders from RPM Access for the 37.5 MW Hawkeye and 50 MW Rippey wind farms in Iowa. Nordex says the turbine nacelles will be produced at its Jonesboro, Ark.-based plant.
Nordex says construction has commenced for both locations, with turbine delivery scheduled for mid-2012. Both projects are expected to be commercially operational by October 2012.
According to RPM, the output from each wind farm has been purchased by Central Iowa Power Cooperative under a long-term agreement
