With eight new orders for projects in August, German sales recorded a successful month in the Nordex Group’s domestic market, according to the Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer.
Nordex says it is supplying a total of 28 turbines totaling 71.7 MW to various customers in the country – from Lower Saxony to Bavaria.
The largest of the new projects is for the 19.2 MW MW Heinsberg-Randerath wind farm, located near Cologne in North-Rhine Westphalia. Nordex will be supplying eight N117/2400 turbines on 120-meter tubular steel towers. The manufacturer is also responsible for laying the foundations.
The turbines are due to be commissioned in the first half of 2017. Following installation, the Nordex Group will also service the project for a period of 15 years.
