Nordex To Build 37.5 MW Wind Farm In Poland

0

Nordex has announced it will deliver and install 15 of its N100/2500 series turbines at a wind project in Poland.

The 37.5 MW Orla wind farm will be built in two construction phases, with the first nine turbines slated for delivery soon and to enter operation as early as December. The remaining six machines are expected to be ordered and commissioned by the middle of next year.

The Orla wind farm was initiated in 2008 and developed since by Nordex's project development arm. ‘This is going to be the first realization from our pipeline of own developed projects in Poland," says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a member of Nordex's management board. "It is a good illustration of how Nordex can provide more value to the market with quality projects."

C&C Wind, an entity created by international private-equity investors and an independent power producer, owns the wind farm, and project finance has largely been provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
