With the completion of an N117/2400 turbine at the 36 MW Monaicha wind farm in Ireland, Nordex says its global installed nominal output has now passed the 10 GW threshold.
‘Nordex has since installed 186 Generation Gamma N117/2400 turbines of the type now assembled in Ireland, with a further 199 under construction,’ notes Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a Nordex management board member.
Overall, the company has installed just under 6,000 units of its various turbine models since 1985. Last year alone, Nordex says it assembled a total of 506 turbines around the world, meaning that on average two machines went online each working day.
