Nordex has received a contract for the 65 MW Knockduff wind project in Ireland from developer Green Energy Supply Ltd.
The deal entails delivery and installation of 26 N90/2500 turbines, plus service for a minimum of 15 years. The wind farm is slated for operation in August 2015.
The Knockduff project is located in County Cork in the southwest of Ireland, and Nordex notes that the site offers good wind conditions at a speed of 8.5 m/s.
Thus far, the company says it has installed a total of 204 turbines with a combined capacity of over 500 MW in Ireland.
