The financial investor Impax Asset Management has placed a second order with Nordex to build a wind farm in Finland.
The 51 MW Kuolavaara-Keulakkopaa project will feature 17 N117/3000 Delta machines specially designed for regions with medium-strength winds. In order to cope with the cold weather conditions at the site, the rotors will be fitted with an anti-icing system.
Turbine installation work at the site will start in spring 2015, and the wind farm is due to be connected to the grid later that year. Impax has also concluded a five-year premium service agreement with Nordex.
Meanwhile, Nordex is currently installing turbines at the first wind farm for Impax in Finland: The 27 MW Joukhaisselka project will feature nine turbines from the same series.
