Nordex has received 11 orders in Germany for 50 turbines totaling 150 MW so far this year. These turbines will have blades of 117 meters and 131 meters on hybrid towers, with hub heights of 134 meters and 140 meters. All orders include a 15-year premium service contract.
Nordex says it has secured several municipal utilities in Hesse as customers. The company will install nine N117/2400 turbines, totaling 21.6 MW, at the Schwarzenberg wind farm for the Biedenkopf municipal utility and the municipality of Breidenbach. Nordex will equip the Gemunden wind farm with seven N117/2400 turbines and 16.8 MW for the Verbands-Energie-Werk Gesellschaft fur Erneuerbare Energien mbH.
The Alsfeld-Lingelbach project is also located in Hesse, and Nordex will be supplying Thuga Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG (THEE) with nine N117/2400 turbines. THEE is a joint venture of 46 municipal utilities and regional power suppliers in the Thuga Group, with which Nordex has already successfully implemented several wind farms. The manufacturer will supply a further seven turbines of this type to e-wikom, a project developer. Installation of these turbines at the Petkus wind farm in Brandenburg is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
Fifteen turbines with a 131-meter rotor diameter are being delivered by Nordex for two projects to regular customers. For the project developer ABO Wind AG, 10 N131/3300 turbines are to be installed in the 33 MW Uckley wind farm in Brandenburg, and another five N131/3000 turbines with 15 MW will go to a wind farm in North-Rhine Westphalia for BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH.
