Turbine maker Nordex SE says that during the months of April and May, it received 17 new orders in its home market of Germany totaling more than 150 MW.
According to Nordex, most of the orders called for the supply of its N117/2400 wind turbines, machines designed for low-wind sites.
Nordex, which claims to have a 30% market share in the state of Bavaria, is looking to consolidate its market position. The company notes the opening of a regional center in Wurzburg will better handle local business and fulfill service contracts.
