Nordex has received a turbine contract to supply the 45 MW Mazeikiai wind project in Lithuania. UAB Pamario jegainiu energija, which is owned by Lithuanian company Orion Alternative Energy Fund and Dutch company Energy Investment Fund, placed the order.
Nordex will be supplying and installing a total of 19 N117/2400 turbines at the project. The deal also includes a service contract covering a minimum period of 15 years. Work on installing the turbines, which will be mounted on 120-meter towers, is to commence in spring 2015.
Nordex says the Mazeikiai order builds on the company's Lithuanian market entry in September.
"This second sales success within a short space of time impressively testifies to the vitality of the Lithuanian market. Working with our customers, we want to help the country to diversify its energy production base by expanding local wind power production," says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a Nordex management board member
