Nordex has received 72 MW of orders from wind customers in Turkey. Pakmem Elektrik has ordered 16 N131/3600 turbines for the Cerit project, and Sur Enerji has ordered four N117/3600 turbines for the Kurtini project.
Pakmem Elektrik has also signed a premium service agreement covering a period of 15 years. The 57.6 MW Cerit wind farm, located in the province of Caglayancerit, is the first in Turkey to use the N131/3600, according to Nordex. The manufacturer will install the turbines on 84-meter tubular steel towers on two adjoining ridges at altitudes of 1,510 and 1,865 meters, respectively. The average annual wind speed at the site is 6.6 m/s, for which the N131/3600 is designed. After completion in fall 2018, the wind farm will provide an annual yield of around 161,000 MWh, says Nordex.
Sur Enerji, a subsidiary of Sur Group, has signed a 10-year premium service agreement for the Kurtini project, which is scheduled to be complete in spring 2018.
Nordex will be installing the Kurtini wind farm near the city of Mersin, located approximately 20 kilometers north of the Mediterranean coast. The turbines will be installed at altitudes of between 1,150 and 1,250 meters on 91-meter tubular steel towers. The average annual wind speed at the site is 7.6 m/s, so Nordex estimates the annual yield of the project will be 45,000 MWh.
