Nordex is entering the Lithuanian market, having signed a new contract to supply eight N117/3000 turbines for a 24 MW wind project.
The Jurbarkas wind farm is located close to the town of the same name in an agricultural region of Lithuania. The project developer, Eurakras, is a joint venture between private equity companies Renagro and Baltcap.
Under the contract, Nordex will also perform services on the project for 15 years. Accordingly, the company will be establishing a service point close to the wind farm. The project is expected to be online in November 2015.
