Noble Environmental Power, an Essex, Conn.-based renewable energy company, has released status updates on the construction of several wind power projects.
According to the company, the Allegany wind power facility – to be located in Allegany County, New York – is undergoing preliminary design evaluations, with survey stakes marking potential wind farm boundaries placed throughout the project area. Noble's next step for this project is to submit an application to begin the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) process.
The company reports significant construction progress at the Clinton Windpark and Ellenburg Windpark, where the first turbines were installed in early August. Access road construction is nearly completed, and an earlier goal of installing 121 turbines by the end of November is still reachable, Noble adds. Three additional field engineers and a third contact manager were recently added to the project workforce.
The Chateaugay project, meanwhile, is approaching the end of the SEQRA process.
