Independent power producers Yunus Energy and Metro Power Co. have selected Nordex to install a pair of wind farms in Pakistan.
Per the turnkey agreement, Nordex will deliver 40 N100/2500 turbines to the province of Sindh. Due to high ambient temperature conditions at the site, the order calls for the turbines to be equipped to operate in high temperatures.
Construction is to commence in the spring, with both projects to go online in summer 2016. After completion, Nordex will provide operations and maintenance for 10 years.
Descon Engineering, a frequent Nordex partner, will handle foundations, access roads and cabling. The firm has previously completed several projects with Nordex, including 150 MW in Pakistan.
