Nordex will supply 20 Nordex N100/2500 turbines with a total capacity of 50 MW for the Gul Ahmed wind farm, located in southern Pakistan.
As the wind farm is located in a desert, Nordex will supply the client a hot-climate version of the turbines. This version of the N100/2500 makes it possible to obtain the largest possible energy yield at this IEC-2 site.
Gul Ahmed Wind Power Ltd. is the project's owner and is a subsidiary of Gul Ahmed Energy Ltd. According to Nordex, the Gul Ahmed family has been operating in Pakistan in different areas of the industry, including textile and infrastructure, for more than 60 years.
