The Nebraska Energy Export Association (NEEA) has begun accepting membership from wind developers interested in investing in projects in the state should renewable energy changes in state law be adopted by the Nebraska Legislature and signed into law by the governor.

According to Tim Geisert, president of the NEEA, the group has focused on landowner membership since forming the statewide organization last year.

‘RES Americas is excited to join the conversation on renewable energy in Nebraska with membership in the Nebraska Energy Export Association,’ says Joe DeVito, vice president of development for RES Americas. ‘The association has been a leader in the ongoing and productive dialogue, and our company is honored to be part of the team.’

NEEA advisors include representatives from Nebraska Farm Bureau, Nebraska Cattlemen, two former state senators, two economists and business leaders.
