Naturener Energy Canada Inc., a Calgary, Alberta-based subsidiary of the Naturener Group, has purchased 100% of the shares of Alberta-based West WindEau Inc., a wind energy development company. With the addition of West WindEau's Wild Rose Wind Farm in southeast Alberta, Naturener now has a portfolio of over 1,000 MW of wind energy capacity under development in Canada.

According to David Boileau, the controlling shareholder and former chairman of West WindEau, Wild Rose will soon be moving from the development stage to the construction phase.

Under the purchase agreement, Boileau will join the Naturener Canada board of directors, while Claude Mindorff, West WindEau president, has been named director of Canadian wind energy development. Lois Gill has been appointed business operations manager, the company adds, and Ron Barg will continue his role as landowner liaison.
