Native Eyewear is offsetting 100% of the electricity used at its Denver headquarters by purchasing 39,600 kWh of renewable energy certificates (RECs) from U.S. wind farms.
The company made the purchase through Renewable Choice Energy. Native Eyewear has also purchased 100 Green Your Phone cell phone offsets from Renewable Choice to share with partners and vendors. The Green Your Phone offset products come in the form of a small card and sticker, and each includes 250 kWh of RECs to offset the manufacturing and use of a cell phone for two years.
Native Eyewear says it will continue to work with Renewable Choice to identify new clean technology solutions that further reduce its environmental impact.
