National Wind Acquires Land for Major Wind Development

Houston-based National Wind Solutions Inc. has signed a letter of intent to lease 210 acres of land in central Texas for a major new wind power project. The agreement gives the company access to land for the development of the 30 MW Green Grid Project. Once completed, the wind farm is expected to generate over $60 million in revenue over 10 years, the company says.

National Wind anticipates starting with 20 1.5 MW wind turbines for the project. A wind trend analysis and electrical engineering and design plan will be completed before installation begins.

‘With the need for low-cost green energy increasing in America, this is not the time to pull back and wait on the sidelines,’ says Kathleen Delaney, chairwoman and CEO of National Wind Solutions. ‘This is the perfect time to get assets in place and ready to generate electricity before increased demand drives prices higher, which will increase our profits.’
