The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) has awarded grant-funding to all four of the projects that Sustainable Energy Developments (SED) submitted.
SED will start design and construction on three new sites and conduct a feasibility study at one new site. SED's intention is to install 10 large-scale wind turbines by the end of the year.
The design phase for Saint Mary's Abbey in Wrentham, the Pond Street Water Treatment Facility in Hanover and Williams' Stone Co. Inc. in East Otis have already begun. The construction phases of the three projects are scheduled to begin early this summer. A feasibility study is also underway for Big Apple Farm in Wrentham.
‘As long as people are interested in wind power, we will dedicate ourselves to building quality projects along with educating the public on the positives of wind energy,’ says Kevin Schulte, CEO and co-founder of SED.
