Wind turbine gear manufacturer Moventas says it has won a contract worth 80 million euros to supply wind gears for AREVA Wind's 5 MW offshore wind turbines.
Earlier this month, Moventas delivered two 5 MW offshore wind gears to AREVA Wind. After approximately one year of testing, Moventas and AREVA Wind will be ready for series deliveries, Moventas says.
