Mechanical power transmission company Moventas, which has offices in Finland, Germany and the U.S., has received orders for wind turbine gearboxes worth 140 million euros.
The gearboxes will be delivered to leading wind turbine manufactures, from where they will be distributed to wind energy projects around the world. The delivered gearboxes will be installed in 1.5 MW to 2 MW wind turbines. Deliveries are expected to take place in 2009.
