The Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator (MISO) says it has set a new all-time record for energy demand in its region, a footprint that covers 11 states and Manitoba, Canada.
On Monday, July 23 at 3:54 p.m. EDT, the regional transmission system operator saw the demand for energy use reach 98,576 MW. At that same time, MISO says it also set a record for peak load, at 104,669 MW.
