Minneapolis-based Midwest Wind Finance (MWF), a firm specializing in financing community-scale wind farms throughout North America, will now also facilitate project sales for some of the developers with which it works.
‘Given our move into this activity, we are always open to connecting with additional strategic players who want to buy projects,’ says Ken Valley, MWF president. ‘They know how lucrative a strong wind project can be, especially after commissioning.’
MWF's project financing models have attracted nearly $1 billion of project financing contracts to MWF. The firm is actively arranging financing for several of these projects.
With this new service, MWF says it seeks to increase its relationships with qualified companies that are interested in purchasing late-stage projects.
