Diamond WTG Engineering & Services Inc., a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Inc., has signed a five-year maintenance and service agreement with MidAmerican Energy Co. for 50 1 MW turbines at two Iowa wind projects.
MidAmerican’s Century and Intrepid wind projects are located in Hamilton and Buena Vista counties.
“We are honored to have been selected by MidAmerican Energy Co. as their preferred independent service provider to ensure this energy complex operates at maximum efficiency,” says Harm Toren, president and CEO of Diamond.
Headquartered in Newport Beach, Calif., Diamond has a logistics and operations center in Snyder, Texas, and blade facility in Santa Teresa, N.M. The company provides maintenance, engineering support and/or turbine parts for wind farms exceeding a total of 3,760 MW of capacity in 11 states.
