Rockville, Md.-based Clean Currents LLC has arranged for the Legacy Hotel and Meeting Centre to switch 100% of its electricity consumption to energy sourced from wind power in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to encourage energy independence. The hotel will also participate in Clean Currents' Green Your Stay program that offsets the carbon footprint associated with a guest's stay.

In addition to switching to wind power, the hotel is converting its cleaning products and detergents to more organic, biodegradable solutions and installing recycling baskets in each of its 160 guest rooms.
