Lisle, Ill.-based Leeco Steel has opened a facility in Mobile, Ala., and the distribution center began shipping plate steel this month.
According to the company, the Mobile site was added as part of its overall plan to establish a physical presence in strategic locations and markets in the U.S.
‘We are establishing deeper roots in an area we already supply from other locations,’ says Denton Nordhues, the company's president and CEO. ‘Leeco Steel: Mobile, allows us to realize efficiencies in our supply chain and commercial coverage that will ignite further expansion in the Gulf."
