AMSC says that Inox Wind Ltd., part of India's Inox group of companies, has placed a follow-on order for 50 of AMSC's electrical control systems (ECS) for Inox's 2 MW wind turbines.
AMSC expects to ship all of these systems to Inox this year. This is the fourth volume order that AMSC has received from Inox in the past two years.
The ECS are being utilized in Inox's 2 MW doubly fed induction turbines, which were designed and licensed by AMSC in 2009.
