IHS Inc., a global source of information and insight, has acquired Emerging Energy Research, an advisory firm that helps clients understand and leverage the technological, regulatory and competitive trends in the global emerging energy sector. The purchase price is approximately $18 million.
Emerging Energy Research offers clients advisory services, consulting services and market studies about emerging technologies in global energy markets, including wind, solar, geothermal and biomass.
