Portland, Ore.-based Iberdrola Renewables has completed construction of the 149 MW Rugby Wind Power Project near Rugby, N.D. Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Missouri River Energy Services has purchased 40 MW of output from the Rugby project. Iberdrola Renewables continues to market the rest of the output.
In celebration of the near $300 million project's completion, Iberdrola Renewables donated $8,000 to the Rugby Endowment Community Fund, which supports charitable organizations.
At the peak of activity, more than 250 construction workers constructed 71 turbines and 16.4 miles of roads and operations, according to Iberdrola.
