Iberdrola Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with We Energies of Milwaukee. We Energies will purchase 50 MW of energy from Iberdrola Renewables' Barton Wind Power Project.
The 160 MW Barton project, located in Worth County, Iowa, was placed in service in June 2009. Power deliveries to We Energies began in January.
We Energies serves more than 1.1 million electric customers in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and more than 1 million natural-gas customers in Wisconsin.
