Iberdrola Renewables says it has surpassed 8 GW of renewable capacity in Europe, bringing the company's worldwide installed capacity to 13 GW. Wind projects are the base of Iberdrola's business, and the company has several projects in Spain, the U.K., Greece and other parts of Europe.
The company also says it is committed to developing offshore wind projects. Iberdrola currently has a pipeline of over 10 GW of projects in Europe, which are managed from Glasgow, Scotland.
The company has recently begun developing its first offshore wind project, the 389 MW West of Duddon Sands project in the U.K.
