Spanish energy company Iberdrola Renewables has begun work on the Star Point wind facility in Oregon. This project is expected to have an installed capacity of 98.7 MW. The Star Point project is in addition to others the company has begun building in recent months, including Rugby (North Dakota), 149 MW, and Cayuga Ridge (Illinois), 300 MW.
Currently, Iberdrola has a total of 547.7 MW under construction in the U.S. The company, which has a presence in 20 states, has 34 wind farms in operation in the country.
