Gurit, a Swedish company specializing in the development and manufacture of advanced composite materials, related technologies, and select finished parts and components, has announced that it will open a wind blade mould production facility in Szczecin, Poland.
According to Gurit, the expansion is targeted at further increasing the company`s tooling market share in Europe. The company says that the new production facility in Szczecin will improve customer proximity and enable even faster delivery times while maintaining a cost-competitive edge.
Further, the company asserts that this new site will complement the production center in Taicang, China, optimizing the utilization of core competencies and the efficient allocation of resources.
Production is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter.
