Greengate Power Enters Into Agreements With Vestas For 300 MW Project

Greengate Power Corp., through its wholly owned subsidiaries Blackspring Ridge IA Wind Project LP and Blackspring Ridge IB Wind Project LP, has entered into turbine supply and long-term service and maintenance agreements with Vestas-Canadian Wind Technology Inc. for its 300 MW Blackspring Ridge I wind project.

Greengate expects to begin construction on the project in 2012, with a target commercial operation date of 2013.

Under the terms of the turbine supply agreements, Vestas will supply 166 of its V90-1.8 MW wind turbines for the project. Deliveries are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2012. The project is currently permitted by the Alberta Utilities Commission for this model of Vestas wind turbine.


Pursuant to the terms of the long-term service and maintenance agreements, Vestas will provide 10 years of service and maintenance for the project at a predetermined cost. The scope of these agreements covers all scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance relating to the Vestas wind turbines at the project site.
