Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC has provided a turbine supply loan to Greenfield Wind Manager LLC to support the construction of a 25 MW wind project in Teton County, Mont.
The project was developed by San Francisco-based Foundation Windpower LLC in partnership with a local developer, the counterparty from which Greenbacker purchased the Fairfield Wind Project in December 2015.
The $25.9 million loan is repayable in full on the project’s achieving commercial operations, expected later this year. When construction is complete, the facility will consist of 13 GE 2.3 MW wind turbines that will generate enough electricity to power 5,533 homes.
