The Timken Co. and Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. Ltd. (Goldwind) are working together on products, services and after-market support for wind turbine components and systems in the U.S.
The memorandum that the companies signed extends their working relationship for three years and broadens their scope of work. As a part of the collaboration, Timken plans to develop additional capacity in China and at its other facilities to support Goldwind's global expansion.
Timken says it will provide Goldwind with equipment design and engineering services; testing services; supply-chain management; field services and other support.
The companies began working together on 1.5 MW turbines in 2008.
