Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. Ltd. says that its 1.5 MW 87/1500 series low-wind-speed turbines have exhibited strong performance during initial small-scale deployment.
Goldwind connected 139 units to the grid across China and achieved an average availability of over 98%. The company deployed its 87/1500 units in Rongcheng, Shandong province, where its first three units have amassed cumulative generation of over 10 GWh amid low annual average wind speeds of 6.1 meters per second.
