Global Marine Energy Inc., a U.S.-owned licensee of Global Marine Systems Ltd., has opened an office in Boston.
Global Marine Systems provides marine cable installation and maintenance services for the offshore power cable, offshore renewable energy and telecommunications industries.
The company has been involved in the installation of cables on various offshore wind projects, including the Horns Rev and Horns Rev II projects in Denmark and the Kentish Flats project in England.
‘With interest in offshore wind and offshore power cable interconnects beginning to take shape in North America, we have decided to license our know-how and sub-contract our experts to an American company, Global Marine Energy, to address these markets as well,’ says Gabriel Ruhan, CEO of Global Marine Systems.
