Georgia Resorts Offset Electricity Use With Wind

0

Callaway Gardens, a 13,000-acre vacation resort in Pine Mountain, Ga., has offset all of its electricity use by purchasing 21 million kWh of renewable energy credits (RECs). Callaway is the Southeast's first resort to embrace wind energy with a 100% annual commitment.

‘Callaway Gardens' choice to support renewable energy is great news for the industry and is the fifth largest commitment by a resort in the country,’ says Quayle Hodek, CEO of Renewable Choice Energy. ‘Wind power helps support rural communities and increases energy independence. We're thrilled that Callaway Gardens is committed to wind energy and spreading the word about its importance.’
