Houston-based SUEZ Energy Resources NA, the retail energy business of GDF SUEZ Energy North America, has changed its name to GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA. The name change reflects the July 2008 merger of its parent company, SUEZ, with Gaz de France.
The name change will not affect company operations, but the retail business will integrate branding and marketing strategies to reflect the new GDF SUEZ brand.
"GDF SUEZ Energy Resources will continue to provide innovative products and services that help our customers control costs and minimize risk," says Bob Wilson, president and CEO, GDF SUEZ Energy Resources. "Being a part of an even larger global energy group enhances our ability to leverage resources and continue to deliver value within the deregulated retail energy markets."
GDF SUEZ employs 200,000 individuals worldwide, with its 2008 revenues totaling more than $120 billion.
