Garrad Hassan (GH) has launched an international Asset Management and Optimization Services (AMOS) group to meet increasing global demand to optimize wind farm performance and maximize value in operating assets.
GH says its analysis of the operational performance for about 20% of the world's wind farms led to the development of a range of tools that can identify problems and areas for performance improvement. The group's analyses are based on data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and management of wind farm operation and maintenance activities.
The AMOS group is headed by Keir Harman, who has been working in the wind industry for over 10 years and has led this area of GH activity for the last five years.
