Gamesa has signed a new 100 MW contract in China with Hebei Construction & Investment Group (HCIG).
Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will supply, install and commission 50 of its G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Fengdianzhiqing wind farm, located in Zhangjiakou, in the province of Hebei. The turbines are due for delivery during the third quarter of this year, and the wind farm is slated for commissioning the following quarter.
The turbine maker notes it has signed orders for the supply of 250 MW to HCIG since 2008, and Gamesa's presence in China dates back 15 years, having installed over 3,626 MW and with close to 900 MW under maintenance in the country.
