Gamesa has signed an agreement to supply 48 MW to Fujian Energy for a wind farm in Fujian Province, China.
Beginning in September, Gamesa will supply 24 G90-2.0 MW Class I wind turbines, and the wind farm is expected to be finished by year-end. The company says these turbines have been specially designed to handle conditions on the coastal area of Fujian, which has wind speeds of 70 m/s and is frequently affected by typhoons.
Gamesa has had a presence in China since 2000, having installed more than 3.5 GW and maintaining 880 MW in the region.
