Gamesa says it has received an order from ReNew Wind Energy P Ltd. (Jath), a subsidiary of ReNew Wind Power, for the commissioning of 74.65 MW of wind turbines.

The order, which is the first one signed with this independent power producer, includes 50 MW of Gamesa's G97- 2.0 MW turbines and 24.65 MW of its G58-850 kW machines. The wind turbines will be installed in Maharashtra, India.

The G97-2.0 MW turbine is especially designed for low-wind sites such as Maharashtra, and was launched by the company earlier this year.

Projects in India made up 14% of Gamesa's total sales in the first half of this year.
